Buddlia nectaring

Loads of moths on the Buddlia tonight including: Large Yellow Underwing (100+), Silver-Y (probably worn Beautiful Golden Y(4), Dotted Clay, Square-spot Rustic, Snout, Dark Arches, Eudonia alpina and possibly another Eudonia (in a pot). Also Scoparia subfusca buzzing around the actinic and a likely Agriphila tristella around this computer screen (got away).

 Large Yellow Underwing

 Square-spot Rustic

Silver-Y  Most likely a worn Beautiful Golden Y, see comments below.

Certainly not Silver Y anyway, thanks Andy, it was a bit late/early and I didn't look carefully enough just presumed. I'll check the other photos, Plain Golden Y would be new for garden, I did catch a few when I was in Arran a few weeks ago.

I think I can see a feint gold edge to the kidney so I think this is a worn Beautiful Golden Y, I caught five in the MV last night and they were all very worn. Do you think that's right Andy? Good call picking up the naff ID :-)

Thanks Andy, they do occur here, just I haven't had them, I'll see what the CR says, probably best. I'll be dead chuffed if it is Plain GY.
