Good-bye old friend...

There have been occasional mentions of "the hound" in this blog, with even a photo or two over the years. Of late, fewer mentions as she has not been up to the rigors of longer walks in my searches for things wild. Yesterday, at 15 years and two and a half months the inevitable occurred.

Heading out for The Shunan and maybe Bosquoy.

Cora and I enjoying a joke (probably one of us farted!)

Thanks Graeme, it was peaceful and she'd had a good life, a happy hound!

So sorry to see this Al, the biggest downside of dog ownership is they dont live long enough. Its crushing when they go...

Oh mate that is so sad, we feel like we have known Cora for pretty much the whole of her life, very sorry to hear. You can be assured you gave her the best life.

Thanks Stewart, yes she was very much one of the family, so a very sad day. But it was peaceful and all involved were very thoughtful and professional.

Thanks Nick. 15 is a very good age for a Golden Retriever and we think she had a very happy life, although her view would be that more biscuits would have improved things!
