Also today, a new Wood Sand very briefly on The Shunan, 11 Lapland Buntings seen wonderfully well on The Links, Birsay and a Redstart at Palace.
There were a couple of these on Birsay beach along with the Dunlin (25), Ringed Plover, Redshank and TurnstoneOn the moth front Setaceous Hebrew Character was new.

I gather from the posts on Birdguides it was just an odd Dunlin?
Aye, Nick it was but it took a fair bit of sorting out and other observers also thought that "it's not a Dunlin" at various points. In the end I got permission to go in close and got views that confirmed the ID as Dunlin, bit disappointing but so it goes.
